Actually, I'd say a low post count has its advantages too.
On a forum, you're known by your "mistakes". If you misphrased yourself, it's the misphrasing people remember, not what you really meant. I used to have an account here for a long while (3000+ posts? I'm not really sure), but on that account, I said a few somewhat silly things. As a result, there was somewhat of a prejustice against anything I said. People seemed to think I said it under some secret agenda.
It wasn't really that bad, many people here have far worse prejustice against them, so the intent isn't to complain about that. The longer you're here, the more people see the person posting, than what they post.
And when you're wrong, there's nothing wrong with having someone step in and say "hey, give him a break - he's new"
