the reason for me why i am still a gamer is , that i love the escape from reality. where u can play as a different character and experience their surroundings and see what happens with choices u make. also i love the fact now we can play with other gamers around the world in games from fps - mmorpg's and make new friends. lastly in seems certain games are becoming like movie's with their stories,action and effects that are going into their production, examples would be : METAL GEAR SOLID 4, LOST ODYSSEY, FINAL FANTASY 13. with up coming games like : ALAN WAKE AND HEAVY RAIN it seems that concept is further expanding and i am really excited by this.

I had a gamecube for most of last gen, but got hardly any games for it in the 4 years I owned the system

If after those 4 years I wouldn't have a got Ps2 (a year before PS3 came out) I may have even left gaming altogether!

Because I enjoy it, and because I'm able to play on a variety of systems. If I didn't own a DS(i), Wii and 360 I wouldn't game anywhere near as much. I'm planning on getting an iTouch or PS3 Slim sometime in the next 12 months... But there are so many great 360, Wii and DS games coming out, I may not have the money or time to afford another gaming device.

I'm good at it.

I had three children that cut into my time and social life so now I play video games again after a ten year hiatus.

Because I'm bored.

i play videogames because it is something i started just to see what it is and now has become something i really love to do and spent my time at.i have grown up with some videogame charachters too so i believe that i will always want to see their next games.and iam always open to see new ideas and things that will keep evolving the litle and big things that make me a gamer.

Because gaming is still good.

Really, I started gaming when I was 7 or 8 years old. I always figured I'd grow out of it. Instead, the opposite happened. We (gaming and I) grew up together. The technology, gameplay, and maturity of the hobby always stayed new and fresh to me. Now, it's my obsession. I love it. As long as I have a working thumb, I'll be a gamer.
