Sorry but your examples of circle strafing are terrible. It wasn't even a circle, more an angled move forward with a twist on the last past. It was also at a snails pace with a lot of missed shots, the entire point of circle strafing is to avoid fire. If that was a human opponent it would have shot you easily, plus it would have no doubt tried to circle strafe back, putting extra pressure on your turning requirements (which were not great already).

Just think of the controls required to do it...

To circle strafe clockwise you need hold left on the anologue stick to sidestep left while at the same time aiming to the right to turn right. You would want to keep the target in your crosshair the entire time which won't happen when your aiming to the edge of your screen. Games like the Conduit try and get around this by using the lock on feature to help keep your target centred on the screen making circle strafing properly possible.

The very addition of the lock on itself is admitting that there are issues hindered movement.

I moved forward because I chose to, not because I had to do it that way, that was at about 51 sensitivity when I wasn't that good with the controls yet, I'm doing it at about 75 now which is faster than any dual analog I've ever touched. you can always react much faster because the Wiimote is just a reversed dual analog on crack, you are also suppose to put the deadzone box to all the way minimum so you don't actually goto the end of the TV to turn and instead just move it a little bit at higher sensitivity settings, just like dual analog. I don't use lock-on, all it does is hinder my aiming, it might as well not be in that game and is for nubs, not because there is a problem with the control. I also only missed 3 shots out of all the times I was shooting at the thing because it was my second time playing, like I said, if you are aiming at the TV, you are doing it wrong, the Wiimote should act as an improved DA when you play shooters on Wii for max efficiency, not a light gun game. I don't personally know where your skill lvl is with the wiimote, doesn't seem too high if you are having trouble doing something simple like circle strafing after 2-3 months of The Conduit.

So now you say your examples are bad and make excuses. So why post them? Hoping I didn't know what I was talking about? Sorry but I play a lot of shooters on multiple systems and know that Wii movement sucks for them. It is the simple fact that you need move the target off centre to turn, even with very small turn boxs it still needs move off centre and this is what causes the problem.

If your target is moving off your screen because a sudden short burst of speed (like a sprint) then you need turn faster, moving the aim more in that direction, however unless the target is lucky enough to stay in your crosshair you would need overshoot his path, causing misses, then if he exits the sprint you need re-adjust aim so that increased turning speed doesn't remain constant and make you overshoot too far.

Due to mouse/keyboard or dual analogue keeping the aiming reticle dead centre constantly you can keep a perfect aim the entire time.

...and that is a single example of many, there are a million others. Wii ends up being more like an octagon movement (or a similar more sided shape) or some weird bend rather than a perfect circle.

I'm actually thinking whether I should bother make new footages just for a forum argument since those were recorded back in June because what you are describing now is still a skill issue related to aiming and turning sensitivity which comes at how much time you spend on a control scheme. I do want to see if a dev has enough balls to make the crosshair dead center though, because I want to try that as well, I've tried it on PC and it feels pretty good so I personally don't see why not, at least it'd end your bitching.

^ I think you misplaced your post.

This is the Official " I know The Conduit controls and how to prove it" thread.

Anyone here heard of Modern Warfare Reflex?

Sounds like COD5 with some new features and improvements. As seeing as Im playing COD5 heavily, I will have to get MW.

@kylie - Wireless hosting on COD5 is pretty solid, a lot better than you'd think.

I've not been impressed by anything running online on wii. Not even SSBB by ninty themselves. IF treyarch can break the mold, that'll be good to hear. That's why I'm surprised you'd rather play an online MP fps on wii over xbox live which is supposed to be the best online service.

To me, it looks like the wii mote is more difficult than analog sticks. When my brother was playing the conduit, the reticule was moving all over the place. I would think that something so sensitive to slight arm movements would be more difficult to get precise shots with but perhaps it's just a matter of taste.

I know what you're saying about the Conduit, but you get used to it. If not, you can customize your controls, make the cursor less sensitive, use the Trust camera instead of Human which will stabilize more the Y axis movement, adjust the turning speed etc.

On topic:

Without local multiplayer I don't think I'll buy it. For me it's just a lazy excuse. Does it has cooperative campain like WaW? Meh, anyway I'm not a big CoD fan, honestly I'm more interested in Real Heroes Firefighter (no joke  )
