| KylieDog said: Sorry but your examples of circle strafing are terrible. It wasn't even a circle, more an angled move forward with a twist on the last past. It was also at a snails pace with a lot of missed shots, the entire point of circle strafing is to avoid fire. If that was a human opponent it would have shot you easily, plus it would have no doubt tried to circle strafe back, putting extra pressure on your turning requirements (which were not great already). Just think of the controls required to do it... To circle strafe clockwise you need hold left on the anologue stick to sidestep left while at the same time aiming to the right to turn right. You would want to keep the target in your crosshair the entire time which won't happen when your aiming to the edge of your screen. Games like the Conduit try and get around this by using the lock on feature to help keep your target centred on the screen making circle strafing properly possible. The very addition of the lock on itself is admitting that there are issues hindered movement. |
I moved forward because I chose to, not because I had to do it that way, that was at about 51 sensitivity when I wasn't that good with the controls yet, I'm doing it at about 75 now which is faster than any dual analog I've ever touched. you can always react much faster because the Wiimote is just a reversed dual analog on crack, you are also suppose to put the deadzone box to all the way minimum so you don't actually goto the end of the TV to turn and instead just move it a little bit at higher sensitivity settings, just like dual analog. I don't use lock-on, all it does is hinder my aiming, it might as well not be in that game and is for nubs, not because there is a problem with the control. I also only missed 3 shots out of all the times I was shooting at the thing because it was my second time playing, like I said, if you are aiming at the TV, you are doing it wrong, the Wiimote should act as an improved DA when you play shooters on Wii for max efficiency, not a light gun game. I don't personally know where your skill lvl is with the wiimote, doesn't seem too high if you are having trouble doing something simple like circle strafing after 2-3 months of The Conduit.
