Piracy & DRM & reselling used games have been around since C-64/Atari days. The reason it's such a big issue now is again the high cost of developing games and the fact that some publishers are having more trouble producing a profit.

"when it comes to debates" But not in reality or something? What do you mean by that?

Also, you quoted that article as if it supported your point ... but it doesn't.  Either through fact or through opinion.

Shame, they should have better business models. Or better games.

I've posted  that article because it has two other links to both sides: publishers & gamestop. And yes it does prove my point that high developing cost is becoming a huge factor with both console And PC gaming.

... Well, it does link to other news articles, that's true.  But the article you posted:
-- Vehemently disagrees with "used games sells does = piracy" and gives an argument against that opinion.
-- Does not say anything in support of "it's such a big issue now", let alone that the reasons are "the high cost of developing games and the fact that some publishers are having more trouble producing a profit" (even if one or more of these is true)

So no it doesn't "prove your point".

If you want the top of the line graphics and online, PC is for you.

If you want more games released, more better games released, and a more cinematic experience. go with consoles.

I love my PC games from Blizzard and Valve, but let's be serious. The shear quantity of amazing games released on consoles puts it way over the PC.

That's just false. Yes, the PC doesn't have as many games, but at least its best games are better than the best games on the consoles. As I said earlier, there are games from over 10 years which are sitll better than anythign that has been offered recently.

Yes syes, games with platforming elements and party games are far better on consoles. I've said that in 5 different poss in this thread already.

The true answer is PC's. They are better for gaming....which does not mean they have the best games.

Theoretically, they have the best controls, you can use 360, PS3 with ease as well as the many PC control pads out there. Obviously you have M&K.

You again have the best available graphics.

You have the biggest backlog of games(which includes emulation of consoles and arcade pcbs).

Installs, patches, and tv size are a wash. I have my gaming pc in my livingroom on my 52" Just like my Wii, PS3 and XBOX. Most PS games now require a lengthy install and almost all games out there have patches.

Cost clearly goes to consoles. The lifespan of a console(particurlarly the 10 year PS plan) blows away what you get for a PC. You only get about 5 years out of a high end PC then it can barely run minimum requirements. You do get more bang for your buck on games. You generally have games launching at cheaper prices, dropping price quicker and free DLC.

Ease of use again goes to consoles, as apparently most people here have issues with compatibility. I never do, but I'm just lucky I guess.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I  disagree. In fact if you notice one article referring to consoles is leaning more toward digital downloads just as the PC has in recent years.
