I think the plot is great.


One of the most interesting details: the part where it is revealed the ashes of his dead family, that he himself killed in a fit of uncontrollable lust for rage, are glued to his body thus giving him that white ghost like appearance is simply delicious.

At E3, they did say that the story ends with GOW3 since they always wanted it to be a trilogy, however, the franchise might just keep going if they decide to do a prequel of some sorts.

They already did that with the psp installment.

Greek Gods will fall and Kratos' influence will be felt for centuries to come. He remains the God of War. In 2012, U.S. soldiers go to war with China. From Mt. Olympus, Kratos smiles.

I would, even though it makes me sad, like to see SCE Santa Monica keep their word and end God of War with III - the story anyway....
afterwards they can make God of War prequels OR
work on a god of war based on nordic mythology...with Kratos the same character with the same name who has absolutely no link to the Kratos from Greek mythology. that will be nostalgic and will let sony keep one of their biggest mascots....maybe he can have blue tattoos instead of red ones....

A new story in the same world, but starring a different god/demi-god would be cool. Maybe Sony can let us play as Icarus if Nintendo won't. The possibilities are endless.

I for one hope this studio starts a new franchise, something completely new but equally epic in scale.

Though I agree with people not wanting the series to be milked, I wouldn't mind having more Kratos on my PSP/PS3. as for the story the first one was good! the 2nd was just as good(was I the only one surprised that Kratos was Zeus's son?)

lets just hope we have enough space for a game this epic! LOL

No! Sony won't kill off Kratos or God of War for Heavenly Sword or Nariko.

Well its not like they will be killing of Kratos for Nariko. It would be because of the story, that all.   It just seems like a perfect fit for the story if he dies,  all of the torment and pain, all of the battles and crawling out of Hades, will finally take its toll on Kratos but not before he can strike down his oppressors.   At least thats the way i see it.   

I only said for Santa Monica Studios to do Heavenly Sword 2 because it would be such a perfect fit especially with all of the experience they have had with the God of War series.   But that is only if the end the God of War series and give him an honorable death.
