Spider-Man's got nothing on Just Cause 2's returning protagonist, Rico Rodriguez. Sure, Spidey's got a whole host of arachnid super-enhancements -- but Rico's various modes of aerial travel make web-swinging seem so ... pedestrian. The dev diary posted above gives a great look at our hero's proclivity for base jumping, hookshotting, parachuting and helicopter-jacking. We're sure Isaac Newton would have a few hang-ups about the poetic liberties Just Cause 2 is taking with physics -- but you'll hear no objections from us.

Really, I don't care which island this is located on, all I care about is that it features water, jungles and lots of tall structures to, hopefully, jump off of.

These latest screens of Eidos Interactive's free-roaming adventure game are keeping me interested. Head over to the official site if you want to check out the new podcast and a mini documentary about the game's vertical gameplay.

I came in here to preach GTA IV but those screenshots are actually quite impressive. This game has now entered my radar.

Yeah it should be way better than the first one was.  Just Cause 2 has been on my radar ever since its been announced.

The first one wasn't that good... It was just cause.... LOL

Oblivion, Far Cry 2, Bad Company 2, Arcania: A Gothic Tale, Mafia II, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, Rage, Risen and Assassin's Creed look better. And they're all open world/sandbox games.

I don't know about best looking sandbox.

But on my radar it is suddenly a contender for most fun sandbox.

Reminds me of bionic commando and dark void for some reason
