Halo ODST is gonna be better than Halo 3 because

1.Your not Superman,your a regular soldier,The ODST also look alot cooler than Master Chief

2.This adds to the story and freshens the experence.

3.FireFight, This is gonna be the best part of ODST IMHO,I love COOP games and this is gonna be a must buy for me,and as some one else mentioned SGT fkn JOHNSON! Awesome!

4.Unlockable Avatar Clothing is gonna be in the,that means ODST armor (We all know at least 10 people on our friends list will have it) That adds more replability to the game!

You forgot the most important part of why ODST is better than Halo 3.  And that is because it comes with Halo 3's best aspect, which is all the multi-player maps.

Are you sure about avatar unlockable ?

1. Everything I've heard about this makes the game sound way less fun.

2. Lol no, Halo's story isn't that interesting anyways.

3. You can get him if you preorder. And since there are a million preorders, you know that playing as him won't be that cool anyways. Plus, Firefight mode is just another one of those modes that will get boring.

3.Firefight get boring? Did you forget who the developer it? Bungie there gonna keep supporing ODST like they do with Halo 3.

Just because you can't or don't want to follow it doesn't mean it's not interesting.

Infact I think and MANY others that it has one of the best stories of all FPS ever.
