So on the PS Blog showing the latest advert someone suggested that a GT5 commercial should also be made. Someone working at Sony answered that they have a GT5 commercial ready. Unless they are making an advert a year in advance it is surely more evidence that GT5 is a 2009 release. Add common sense to that (it saying that GT5 would sell PS3 systems in all regions and EU in particular) and it seems 2009 is very likely.

Hope this game sells well in NA though; it's not even in the top 40 for pre-orders! The GT franchise is a shadow of what it once was in NA.

I'm more then sure the game will sell in the millions though in EU = MORE GT TITLES!

Actually leaking is a key part of marketing hype.  So I bet a lot of the early leaks about the slim where probably Sony created.

As for this I'm not too sure.  I mean I work at a game store and I see release date trends all the time.  Generally when they get pushed back... they don't even return to an earlier release date.  GT5 was at one point set to release in October but now is set for February of 2010.  Generally that means it's not going to get pushed up... for America at least.  I can't speak for the other parts of the world but that is my take on it.  Not to mention would just be too little time to generate the hype this game deserves in a month or 2.

They should just give up and tell everyone! This denying is getting annoying, Sony! Think of your loving fanbase!!!!

Its not in the pre order chartz because it hasn't got a release date yet. GT4 sold 2.5M IIRC in NA. It will definetly be near the top of that pre order list when it finally gets a release date.

Certainly a 2009 title. I can't wait.

i think sony is doing a great job this time (if gt5 comes this year). They obviously didn't want to announce it soon because it would steal gt psp thunder. But with these leaks they are getting people hyped about it without stealing gt portables thunder because of lack of release date.
