Nintendo: Too money hungry, they charge too much for their products ($249.99 for a product that's only marginally better than the $69.99 Gamecube), and atleast for me, too much into the "casual revolution".

Wait, the Wii is quite a bit more than double the CPU & GPU power of a GC, offers GC backwards compatability, GC controller ports, GC memory card ports, SD card reader, VC, bluetooth,  USB, wireless internet, and comes with motion sensitive controllers and a very fun game.

I mean, I guess you could argue it cost too much for your tastes, but the idea that its only a "marginally better product" seems...well false.

Well, that's great, it's compatible with the Gamecube.

But Wii Sports is fun for only a short while.

But surely, Montana, you don't agree with mrstickball's "only maginally better than Gamecube"?  (Also I would like to know where he is getting them for $70!)

There are delayed games all the time and it is due to development issues. It sucks to wait but it means a better game in the long run.

So I guess Duke Nukem Forever is going to be the best game ever released.

Reggie... September Surprise... Super Smash Brothers Brawl by end of year... No game drought after Twilight Princess... Metroid Prime 3 early in 2007... December 9th,2006 - one million more Wiis to U.S. before the end of the year...

Perrin... Wii is region free... Component cables in stores at launch... Super Smash Brothers Brawl released not long after start of 2007... More hardware secrets of Wii revealed at launch

Iwata... Super Smash Brothers Brawl online launch title... Wii online gaming out of the gate... Wii will have one or two Wi-Fi compatible games at launch...

Various execs/Nintendo reps... When you see the graphics of the Wii at launch you'll go "Wow"... Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles will be a launch title... Wii won't launch last... Metroid Prime 3 at launch... Dragon Quest Swords at launch... Enhanced Wii with DVD movie playback coming to U.S...

Lots of broken promises and BS and don't even get me started on Sony, lol...

Anyways in my opinion for BS it goes like this:

Sony = Nintendo >>> Microsoft

And yes Microsoft lied about RROD issue or at least refused to address it but for BS they're nowhere near the competition.

See I knew I shouldn't have opened this topic again.  Fine lets dissect this...

First, note I removed all the stupid ones, like those having to do with game delays.  Games get delayed and its hardly the fault of a Nintendo exec who relied on the info they were given, not to mention the fact that they aren't the only ones who do it constantly.

Things that were just wrong...
-Wii is region free -
Hey you got one!
-Wii won't launch last -
I guess you have them here, by 2 whole days
Honest Mistakes....
-September Surprise
- Something probably got delayed, it sucks, but it happens.
-Component cables in stores at launch - This was a failure of their partner's, and I hardly see why blaming Nintendo for that makes sense.
Non-Lies
-When you see the graphics of the Wii at launch you'll go "Wow" -
Subjective
-Enhanced Wii with DVD movie playback coming to U.S. -
They never gave a date, and as far as I can tell never said they stopped working on it.
-December 9th,2006 - one million more Wiis to U.S. before the end of the year - I don't see any reason to think they didn't meet this goal.
-More hardware secrets of Wii revealed at launch - Revealing info is bad?

In any case all of this is dwarfed easily by the RRoD debacle, the fact that you play it off as a minor deal is laughable.  I hardly see how a company keeping a lie about how poorly built their product is from their consumer only to avoid having to do the right thing is anything but the worst kind of lying.  But you can keep on rationalizing it to yourself.  For me its more of a reason not to get a 360 than the RRoD problem.

Microsoft lies >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nintendo lies

To suggest otherwise is to ignore whats right in front of you.

You know what nevermind, if you want to keep on patronizing a company that would knowingly sell you a faulty product in the hopes you wouldn't notice...keep on keepin on.

I can live with my purchase from a company that had to delay their launch a bit, and was at least trying to make their console region free.

I can really see how thats comparable too...knowingly selling a faulty product...and delaying your launch...yup so comparable.

See this is relative.  If they had just released what they had finished when they first delayed it the game would have sucked awful.  But if they keep delaying it until it is done it will be "better" than that.

Simple logic to follow

I can do you one better:  If it had been released 'as is' back in the day it would have been a forgettably shitty FPS; the drooling, senile end to a beloved series.  But the neverending "delay" has made it immortal -- the game is a legend.

You'd almost think it was on purpose -- "Duke Nukem Forever".
