I hope the ps3 slim brought it back, Im tired of seeing such low software/hardware sales for JAPAN (console hardware that rivals the UK..), the PSP is starting to look mehish right now in japan as well. The DS seems to be the only amazingly succesful platform there. Console sales on the other hand are nearly dead in that region, and hopefully something will come along to stimulate the console market and boost demand for consoles. Just a thing I had in my mind.

This year hasn't exactly been the greatest for the Wii in Japan.

Bear in mind, the PSPgo doesn't launch in Japan until Nov 1st. Also got GTPSP on the way soon. Few other key releases.

But yeah - things should pick up PSP wise.

Well unfortunately software has not risen at all in Japan due to the slim. and everything said so far indicates Japan to have the biggest drop off.

I think Japan is a lost cause for console gaming, whatever Sony and Microsoft do, it's never enough. Nintendo are just about hanging in there with the NDS

What part of "none of the consoles are doing well" don't you understand. The Japanese home console market is dead. The leading console selling 20k a week is a little low don't you think ?

Wii doing 15k is not helping ether

Slim will make Japan a little interesting hardware wise for a couple weeks. But after that it will probably slump down to the depressing numbers we've seen all year from all 3 consoles.
