"Are you sure you've played the Forrest Temple in OoT? Those were scarier then ANY TP creature."

A temple is a place, not a creature.

Unless you mean the skultas that hid in the ceiling, and in that case, the fact that Navi always hovered over one kind of gave away that there was an enemy there. The first time I saw that, I used her lock-on and tried the hookshot to see if I could stun whatever was there. It went down in one hit. I couldn't exactly find something like that scary.

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

What about the comment I responded to was a reply to my comment about spiders. The temple entire should NOT be compared to that specific comment.

Okay, that argument over which was longer is really stupid. Why? Because the games are still hours long anyway. You'd need am RPG or a GTA style of game just to get that much game in the main quest alone.

Also, any who commented on which game is better showed they only read the title.

Finally, someone asked why I didn't bring up graphics. I'm not a graphics whore. I have an eye for detail, but I care about art direction more. And in that both games are about equal to me.

..that was me. i'm not a graphics whore either, it was just obviously one of the main differences between the 2 games, for me personally. you inadvertently touched upon it anyway when you were comparing Zelda's dress from each game.

i appreciate you reading my post ^____^

The thing is I don't like graphics comparisons of things that aren't properly comparable. I still say it's bullshit to compare Dead Rising CTYD to Resident Evil 4 or The Grinder because the level designs and scale of all three of these games are nothing like each other. Or some reviewers said that Twilight Princess didn't look as good as RE4, which is also bullshit, because the larger scale, different art direction, and increased effects.

So I am not going to compare the graphics of these games, because I hate such rigged comparisons.

I also found that the Kakariko village in OoT was more interesting.
Same applies to the 'Home' town, The forest village in OoT > Ordon

Well that aside, I'd say the fact that they're 10 years apart should seal it. It's always more difficult to appreciate the graphics of an older game, when you played the newer one first, especially with such a gap.

i understand that, and i'm not comparing them as such, i obviously didn't expect OoT to rival TP graphically at all when I played it. I just meant that because I played TP first, the OoT graphics were not as pleasing to my eye as they would have been had i played the game 10 years ago. (understandably).

im not arguing with you

Hey, console games before the NES don't really impress me (which is when I started gaming*), although arcade games around the time still look pretty nice.

* A couple of the first games I played were Super Mario Bros and The Goonies II.

what, no comparison on Link's costume change - OOT tights/bodysuit/unitard vs TP shirt and suede pants? This was a pretty big change, as its the first game where Link wasn't in tights or not wearing pants at all
