"Next Wednesday, Nintendo is holding a major showcase event focused purely on WiiWare and DsiWare games."

The line I've quoted is the only bit of info about the press event in that article. The rest is about a UK conference at the end of October.

Unlikely there'll be any changes in bundles, then. Perhaps it's more of a response to Apple and the App Store, than anything else? I hope that focus on WiiWare/DSiWare doesn't leave out the Virtual Console.. C'mon Nintendo, you know you want to make it a cross-platform service...

i know the makers of toribash for wiiware are gonna be there too, so this does kinda sound like a wiiware/dsiware centric event

If this event is all about wii ware and vc, at the October conference this two will be absent...that will leave more time to the new games/big news!

Yes it seems this is pretty much a Nintendo-ware event. Which isn't bad at all. I'm curious to see what might be coming.

Does anybody know the date of the October conference? 1st week like last year?
