that must of been some damn computer in 2002... however the game is just as fun on the 360 as on the PC... even more fun if you get a good group together with voice chat... something much easier to do on the 360 version

it should be, what with it costing 35 000 kr (aprox $4500 back then). I also "make it a rule" not to play FPS games on console because i cant stand analog aiming.
As for the getting a group together with voice chat, i cant comment on since i've never played my xbox on the internet. I usually play L4D with friends because pickup groups suck, and they suck even more with the opposite team clanstacking. But i've never found it hard or difficult to set up a voice chat with other people.

i get about 20 steady fps. In big open places like some places in blood harvest and beginning of death toll i can go down to about 10 fps. In small closed spaces like the apartment i can get around 35 fps. I know it sounds horrible but it is quite playable. Some people are spoiled with their 60 fps games.
I got 250 steady in COD4. Can lock it up at 333 aswell.. or let it run free to 500fps, but might see some drops. But 250 is the highest "legal" limit anyways so 250 will do just fine :D You need to buy a new copmuter :D
copmuter = universal controller that have the ability to mute cops. No more will you suffer speeches about why you should wear a seatbelt. :D

Because they didn't follow this retarded strategy, they have been so sucessful and probably been making more money than most gaming companies out there. Keep in mind that they are also still a indie studio (one of the few) so that in its own right is very impressive. Without all the support they have offered their games they would not have been as popular as they are now (though they'd still be pretty famous). Hence all the bitching. Do they have any obligation beyond the CD? No. Do they profit massively for support after the ship date? Very much so. |
They did it in the past because like all good developers they liked to support their fan base. However that doesn't mean that their under any obligation to continue under such a model. To take it even further and have the fanbase demand the developer appease them is just stupid. Unless you have forgotten we are in the middle of a very big reccession so the "fans" can cry all they want, Valve isn't going to keep putting in man hours and money for free just to make a few people happy.
The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Tell that to the people that have been playing it for 100's of hours...
And if I remember correctly, L4D is getting a new campaign and a lot of the fixes from L4D2.

but the PC version has more content thanks to the mod community.

the campaign really isnt that great. Even fanatics of the game agree a half-hour of gameplay isn't much of an addition if you compare it to the last major TF2 update. They really aren't giving L4D as much support as past games which is saddening.
All we want is at least 1 new special infected (add the screamer which was supposed to be in the game originally) and a couple of new campaigns. Give us 3 more campaigns longer than a half-hour and most of the complains of lack of support would vanish.
