Germans are nothing if not freaks about sex, and a new AIDS-awareness campaign is seeking to cause every rational human on earth to stare in silent disbelief at its graphic depiction of a woman having sex with Hitler.
The new campaign, which features a video that wouldn't really get to air on North American television due to the fact it looks kind of like artsy porno, features a woman going to town with a dude. The dude, at the very last moment, lifts his head and looks at the camera. And right then is when you see Hitler's O-face -- a sight most of us figured we'd live out the rest of our days never even contemplating.
"We knew the face we gave to the illness could not be a pretty one," said Dirk Silz, the creative director of the ad agency behind the campaign, which also features charming print ads including a handful of other dictators such as Josef Stalin and Saddam Hussein.
The campaign is set to launch on December 1, World AIDS Day, but is generating a lot of buzz already because people having sex with Hitler is kind of insane. The company said the response so far has been positive since the point of the ad is to shock people and make them aware of the dangers of unprotected sex.
