i enjoyed toshinden 2 more than the other playstation 1 fighters. tekken was my first 3d fighting game and felt lacking in the face of toshinden 2.

I was a big fan of the first one. It was the game that convinced me to buy a Playstation.

what makes you say that the new toshinden wont be good?

im not suprised. toshinden was one of the first launch titles for the ps1. it may have been the second game realesed for it. i think ridge racer was the first.

3 was pretty good. i loved the finishers.

I played the PC demo of the first Toshinden, wasn't exactly impressed - and left it out to dry when I got Tekken 3.

How the hell did Toshinden get a sequel, let alone three?

because it was a well followed franchise. just like street fighter and dalkstalkers and mortal kombat. how about this. instead of comparing games to each other and ranking them based solely on preference, you rate it based on what it has and does instead of what others have and do. toshinden is a 3d fighter that uses a combo system instead of preset combos. for the life of me i cant think of a single other that does that unless you count the 3d street fighter. it did so well for the same reason 2d fighters have done so well. 3d fighters are slow in comparison to 2d fighters. toshinden was a 3d fighter with the quickness of a 2d fighter.
