The Packers are going down today.

Today's the closest thing to the Super Bowl that the Bear's will have this year.

You'll see.

Unless they brought their rally monkeys its not happening

May I ask this question (since I don't follow the NFL as well as others, I think):

Why do people deride the Big 10 for quarterback play when they have more starters at QB (Brees, Orton, Henne, Collins, Brady) than any other conference than the SEC? Why is the Big 12 held in such high regard when they have the worst QBs starting of any decent conference (Young, Freeman)?

And I'm 13 of 15 for picks this week, woo hoo!

I'm 13-2 but only because I picked Cincinnati as an upset over Minnesota. I got the Stelers/Browns game wrong, but I didn't get my entry in in time anyways, so whatever. Considering the game tomorrow, I should go 14-2.

Also, that was a great Eagles/Giants game. Even if there were a lot of mistakes, it was tons of fun to watch.

The big 10 is not ragged on for their particular bad quarterback play, more as their particular bad speed on both offense and defense. Not many big 10 teams have fast enough linebackers to chase down opposing quarterbacks or runningbacks or recievers from the SEC or other big conferences because of this speed. There are other elements other than speed but it is one of the biggest deferences you will see when watching the two said conferences clash in a game. Just watch Ohio State, as much as I love them, in the last few bowl games they had in the past years. They could not contain on defense. And the offense could not answer because they were either to slow or could not defend the on coming rush. Although in recent years the big 10 have been trying and hoping to get better players to overcome these differences.

This is my take on it atleast.

What about the OSU-Texas bowl game? Ohio State held one of the best offenses to a season low in points. I agree that the B10 is worse than other conferences like the Pac-10 and SEC, statistically. I just don't get the rabid love for the Big 12 despite their (bad) bowl record. The SEC and Pac-10 I can understand, though.

Rally monkeys?  That's something that Angels fans do.  You'd never catch people in Chicago do that sort of thing.  No thunder sticks either.

The Bears would have had a good chance to win the game if their quarterback wasn't a complete bonehead.  When they were up 14-13 and Cutler stared at his intended reciever for five straight seconds after getting the snap, a high school defense could have picked him off.
