It's already difficult to get into a series without playing the first, and even more difficult to warrant buying a console for one game that you have never participated in.

Now if ODST was the first Halo on 360, then I could see it selling hardware, but as it is the second (though not the same genre) I don't see it having a big impact on hardware sales.

You don't have to play any of the Master Chief versions of Halo to find interest in ODST. It is more humanistic as opposed to the beast that was Master Chief. The tale of whether ODST will be a system seller or not will be spelled out a month after its launch.

That's exactly what it is.  Up until now they've just been asinine, but now they're becoming asinine and flamebait as evidenced by the thread creator's own response to coolbeans.  All amazon sales threads should be locked.

Though I am extremely excited about ODST and the software numbers, I do not think it is going to boost hardware much (just being realistic). Only 2 more weeks and we will have our answers....... hopefully.

Maybe you can take the time during your ban to work on your reading comprehension.  I clearly said that ODST will sell huge numbers.  It just won't move systems.  Some people understood that.

Amazon doesn't prove anything. ODST may or may not be a system seller but amazon data isn't "proof" of that
