I had repeated statements of "I am not mafia, and I know insomniac is the sane cop," in a single post. He couldn't think of anyone else to check because I was already out of the equation. Same thing when he later claimed the first day no one was suitable to use a lie detect on. I stated I was not mafia at least once every other post! Damn people...

We were aiming for the reporter. We thought it was either you, WoW or that guy. When you died, and then that guy revealed himself, that's when we knew it was WoW. You were helping us kill, we wanted you around. What I mean by going for you first is we had two ideas. Go for some lurker first, or go for the seasoned players. I was thinking to go for you straight from the get go as the first season player but then I didn't want to kill you off so quickly since it happened to you last game and thought that would discourage you from joining future games.

As for the Lie Detector thing... well... I didn't know what to say.... pulled it out of nowhere.. and it worked .

@ DGC, I was tempted to investigate you last night, just to check and see if you were lying or not. I went with c03 instead since I just wasn't sure on him and I wanted to be sure that he wasn't mafia.

I wasn't sure about you. I figured it didn't matter if I investigated the right person last night since the game was almost over anyway.

I also would like to say that I did not particularly enjoy role claiming so soon. I felt compelled to prove Gnizmo's non mafianess. Shame he turned out to be the poisoner anyway.

If I had been killed the first round by the mafia for a third game in a row, I might not have continued playing in future rounds honestly. So thanks for that consideration at least.

I was going to keep that vote on DGC until you guys all decided to gang vote me so I had to vote Soriku to avoid getting a majority vote.

Well I KNEW DGC wasn't the reporter, the cop, OR the doctor, since I was the doctor.

I know that piling on to create a mislynch is mafia tactics 101 so at least in early game, mafia members cannot communicate with each other during the day and will almost always work as a voting bloc. So the second you have a false accusation, mafia will pile on to ensure a mislynch.

Its a smart move, but in early game, its a paper trail.

Hazmota delayed the game just a little bit by false roleclaiming and we lost one investigation due to it, but a 1:1 mafia/townie loss ratio will always go in favor of the town.

At the end I was pissed because you guys piled on a voted just to get a lynch, which is a mafia NO NO and was the main reason why we lost game 1. Show a little more patience and stop being lemmings. All of you!

In its entirety, this game could have been executed better. Almost everyone had a secret role, which really made the game confusing.

On top of that, the game really just became a game of "FOC" that is to say, Follow the Cop, where the cop investigates everyone, the doctor stays hidden and saves him every night, and tha mafia have no chance.

Sorry about that, but I needed you to role claim.  Even if you were the doctor, you were an acceptible casualty to my survival.

As far as FOC... insomniac17 investigated Gnizmo and himself so it was hardly "Follow the Cop." 

Also, there were only 3 special roles (Reporter, Poisoner, and Body Snatcher) so it wasn't that cluttered.  Besides, last time there were 3 too (Arsonist, Fire Fighter, and Lie Detector).

So we have a mod for version 5 yet? I will be gone pretty much until next wednesday so if I were to mod it, we wouldn't be able to start until then.

I like to mod dark games, where no one's role is exposed upon their death.

I got dibbs on my death note themed mafia game, and I'll have the typical roles, Kiras vs. L, and maybe a couple hidden ones here and there.

Yeah the cop was too busy listening to me while I ran around figuring everyone's role out. I also never piled on anyone, and played my role out fairly well. If the mafia hadn't gone and decided to kill me for no apparent reason I would have been able to keep the game alive long enough to neutralize the reporter, and then work on avoiding detection.

also the reporter role was WAY too powerful. Its basically another cop running around.
