Wow so Outlaw and RCT died, meaning that they were both townies, and ALSO meaning that all we know is that the mafia are all still out there.

Looking back at yesterday, WoW lead the charge against outlaw and was wrong, and also suspected RCT, and was also wrong on that account. It sort of puts a couple things into perspective now, eh?

Anyways, now I am a little suspicious of those who quickly dogpiled and voted outlaw to be lynched.

Both are roleclaiming cop.

A mafia can easily false-roleclaim as cop, as he can "investigate" people and tell the townies what they want, i.e. the mafia-roleclaim-cop can say "X" is townie, and X would say "hey he's right, I AM townie" and thus gain the trust of X.

The possibility of two cops really does muddy things, because Zexen could have assigned just ONE cop, meaning that one is mafia and one is town. OR there could be TWO cops, in which both can legitimately claim town.

I said we should investigate them... not lynch them (in outlaw's case anyway).  Totally outlaw's fault for still talking like he was mafia.

ok, well looking back AGAIN, WoW lead the initial charge against outlaw, but didn't commit to voting.

However, Insomniac was one of the first to vote for outlaw, even though he totally could have investigated outlaw instead. I would have understood if Insomniac would have voted "no lynch" or maybe waited until the end of the day to vote outlaw, but being the 1st or 2nd to vote does look un-cop like.

But then again, false-roleclaiming early on is a HUGE risk for a mafia to take.

I'm afraid that I had convinced myself that he was mafia at that point. I decided that I would vote for outlaw, and then I would investigate Gnizmo, who was the other person I suspected. Turns out that Gnizmo is town (unless I'm not a sane cop) and outlaw was innocent.

Not here in the bahamas... here we just jump to conclusions straight from the get go...

what I did was change my profile settings to "block out all signatures" and set my page view to 100 posts per page. It helps a lot, actually. now I can read through all the posts fairly quickly without clicking "next page" 27 times over
