Gotchya! But... how does the actual investigating for the cops go? How does the mafia kill someone? Are we allowed to post during the night?

The moderator (Zexen) says it's night.  The cop sends a PM to Zexen with the name of the person to investigate.  The moderator (Zexen) responds with "guilty" or "innocent."

The mafia get together (via PM, instant messenger, etc) and they vote to kill someone.  They PM the moderator (Zexen) after that.

No one should post at night.

Cops will pm zexen in this game the name of the person they want to investigate. Zexen will say whether they are pro town or anti town (or whatever). The mafia all talk about who they want to kill, and when they've chosen someone, they send the name of the victin to zexen. We can post during the night, but only if it's unrelated to pretty much anything. We aren't allowed to discuss anything within the game at night since we're all "sleeping."

The cop picks who to investigate by sending a PM to the mod of the game (in this case zexen), saying who they want to investigate, then zexen tells them what their alignment reads as (typically Town or Anti-Town).

The Mafia kills usually by deciding on a person to murder and then telling the mod who they pick.

We can post during the night, but not in a way that says anything important. So only for silliness.

The game seems a lot more interesting now! So basically a person is exposed everyday giving the towns people a chance to lynch a mafia member or the mafia to thin out the townfolk?

and the doctor acts as an immunity! It all makes sense now!
