Forums - Microsoft - 2009- the worst year for 360 exclusives?

*sigh*
A game is a multiplat, if it is on multiple platforms. (Obviously)

L4D2, Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction are all classed as multiplat games.

Please people, lets not get into this arguement again.

They are multiplatform, but are console exclusives. Playing games on PC and on consoles are two very different experiences.

yes this is by far the worst year for 360 exclusives to be honest

Nice to see you again serious. Every year is the worst year for 360 with you.

No overall this year is the best but when it comes to exclusives it is the worse

What would you say about next years offerings from the 360? It is setting up to be the most dominant year ever for them. Seven AAA titles in one year.

Are you referring to multiplatform games because I'm only counting 5 for next year that are "AAA" exclusives (fable III, alan wake,, splinter cell, halo reach and mass effect 2) but if I count multiplatform games I have 3 more added (FFXIII, Bioshock 2, and Metal Gear Solid Rising).
Unless you are giving AA titles tops like Kingdom Under Fire and Crackdown 2 more credit then they deserve...

The first Crackdown wasn't AAA but thhe new Crackdown 2 will be. Gears 3 is also due Q4 2010. Kingdom Under Fire 2 is not AAA.

Awesome, where are the gameplay videos for Crackdown 2?

Also, when was Gears 3 announced and when was the release announced? Links please.

For Gears 3 check IGN's release date list.

Just stop right there....They don't even have an "official announcement" listed for it on there. It's listed and given a vague release date the same way Bioshock 3 (which apparently is a 2011 release) has gotten as well. As of now, the game is about as real as Devil May Cry portable.

The timing is correct. That is the time it can most likely be expected. Tell me then....how long did it take Gears 2 to be created? Two years, correct?....well the same can be said for Gears 3. Leave the window alone.

360 next year is going to be good for Exclusives if thats the kin of games you like. I wil be honest though my 360 is going to get some serious action with splinter cell.

I dont like the look of Alan Wake, Fable 3 will be rocking my world aswell. Crackdown looks crap to me though lol and i didnt like Mass Effect on PC so. but number 2 could be better so i aint going to judge it. However the userbase will goble up these games so it will be a huge year for exclusives for the 360. And since when was GEARS 3 comming in 2010???

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Yea this years is pretty bad for the 360 in exclusives, while the ps3 is having tons of AAA exclusives.

But here is a fix:

L4D2 --> not exclusive
Mass effect --Not exclusive
Splinter Cell: Conviction --> Not exclusive

Alan wake --> not confirmed, but all leads is only timed exclusive

I never understood this.

It's a CONSOLE exclusive.

Yes It's on PC, but does that mean your going to go out and spend $500+ on a PC with the right graphics card to play those games AND own a PS3?

So your going to spend atleast $800 to have a decent gaming rig and a PS3.

You can atleast say that before saying It's not exclusive because It's on a PC.

BTW I own a gaming rig, 360 and Wii but I will always consider a console exclusive a exclusive for that very reason.

Edit: Don't even get me started on GTAIV PC requirements.

Well i own a PS3 and a gaming PC and a 360 so it sint hard to imagine. The reason my 360 is in exile at the moment is because I purchase all of the games for the PS3 or PC instead leaving the 360 with very few games. The only games i have played on the 360 in ages is Fable 2

Mass Effect was never made to be great on PC. The only thing the PC version had over the 360 version is that it lacked the bugs. As for Gears of War 3.....Epic games must really have to guys stumped trying to figure out how they did it. When most devs create games, they create the maps and all the extra features, then cut things out of the game to sell them for extra profit on Xbox Live or PSN. When people think those things have been worked on forever, it was never so. Gears 3 has been in the works since last year. The set date is for 2010. The Gears series has a way of coming out every two years anyway. It is easier to believe that, then to believe Halo Reach is coming out next year. Halo games usually take longer to create. You are a hype killer indeed Serious.

Not exactly. It also added a much better team control system, which really helped the game a lot. This coming from someone who has played both versions all the way through many times

Thats bullshit. The team controls only changed in part 2 where you can control your team mates individually. The PC version has the same controls as the 360. As i said, it was only the bugs that got fixed on the PC version. The major difference between the PC and the 360 version is the entertainment quality of you immersing yourself into the game. On the 360 you enjoy gaming like you are watching a movie and becoming apart of the game. On the PC, you play in stiff positioning. I've alost played Dead Space on PC and the 360 and the 360 is far scarier and has less lighting. Things were so bright on PC compared to the 360's lower quality that it gave it a darker, grittier effect. I wasn't freaked out by the PC version at all. Of course the PC version is always pirated.

Your post is full of ignorance:

- The controls of the PC version are indeed better because you can actually aim in combat, which the X360 gamepad barely allows you to do!

- They made several improvements, such as higher texture resolution and improved inventory system.

- The Mass Effect DLC is completely free for the PC version.

- You can play the game with a gamepad, on your HDTV, sitting on your couch, on your PC. The "you play stiff positioniong" is a terrible excuse, especially when 90% of console gamers' time they're playing sitting down just like PC gamers!

Yes. Also, there's barely any Xbox 360 exclusives in the future. Microsoft can just die.
