Forums - General - What do you think of uncontacted tribes?

I always wonder what their reaction is to the outside world. I mean, Preferences showed the picture with the Indians shooting at the helicopter. Imagine... you know your jungle, the surroundings, the animals living there. And all of a sudden this metal flying object comes soaring in carrying white people. It'd be as if aliens land on your doorstep tomorow!

As for my opinion, leave them be. Undoubtedly they'd be happier in their own community in the world they know then suddenly finding out how large and strange the rest of the world is. These tribes might not even know war if they are remote enough. What a bliss it has to be

Well they'll go from being happy....

to being a poor third world nation that's way behind everybody.

I don't see any advantage into contacting them... not until we start fixing "other" third world countries first.

That scene where the indians are firing arrows against the heli was staged or something, kinda.

The guy who photographed them first lied to media claiming the indians never had contact with the modern world when they in fact have had regular contact.

He lied and said they were un contacted but they don't have regular contact with the outside world. They were "discovered" way back in 1913 and I dont think anyone from that tribe is alive to remember that.

But still, there are other uncontacted peoples in places like Papua New Guinea.

We should massacre them and take their land. Hah, that's what we did in North America. I'm j/k though.
