Forums - Nintendo - How can a review like this even count?

hey, reviewers are gamers too. There are gamers who like the wii and who don't like the wii. Most reviewers and critics are paid to be personable, not professional robots. Of course personality is going to shine through.

Funny how he admids the game to be too hard for him on the "recommended setting".

The reviewer recommends attempting the challenge battles 10 levels below the "recommended level". So, if the recommended level for a challenge is 15, the reviewer feels it would be more rewarding to attempt that challenge while your character is still only at level 5.

Personally, I think the reviewer is being exceedingly hyperbolic here. A few times I have attempted a challenge battle two or maybe three levels too low, and promptly had my ass handed to me. Now, nobody would mistake me for a "master gamer", and I'm sure there are many who could achieve what I failed to do (and experience the exhilarating treat suggested). However, a 10-level difference seems unlikely to me.

Might you be suggesting that the review is, for lack of a better term, trolling?

RPGFan reviewers are randomly pulled from the street corner, they just don't review games well. Find another site.

O hai, let's instult the Wii by calling it a casual system with no good games. :3

For you an insult for others a fact....Don't let it bother you.

Why did you say that? You just got yourself reported that was easily avoidable.

Just saying that their are two groups.    This kind of stuff is not new,  it should not bother people anymore it will not change.

You basically said that it was a casual system with no good games.

Hmm no that would be 'For you an insult for ME a fact'. It just annoys me that people get mad for the same thing over and over again.  I am not long on VG still I saw many threads about 'Reviewer says this about the Wii how is it possible' and we get threads of ten pages long full with mad posts about the review.....  I thought people at this point just will let it slip.

But yeah I probably deserve to be reported I should have said it not like that.

"There are gamers who like the wii and who don't like the wii."

Reviewers review games, not systems. Unless there is something on the system that actually cripples the enjoyment, and I mean Virtual Boy induced headaches, not just "I don't like waggle", you review the game as it is, not a game on a system.

And I'm wondering now the converse is true, giving games better scores because they are on the 360 or PS3.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

A fact, by definition, is immutable thus rendering your comment asinine and contradictory.

The first sentences from the Infinite Space import review:

Why can't the Wii be like its cool little brother, the Nintendo DS? It seems like every month that adorable little console gets an awesome new game while my Wii Fit balance board gathers dust.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Heh. I would like to see the reviewer complete a level-15 challenge with a level-5 character (on a new game play-through, of course). Seriously, I would enjoy seeing it, and would happily take back my criticism.
