Forums - Gaming - The Big Problem with Sony and Microsoft's Motion controls?

Yeah, so I think you should add for Sony plus that they have a potential access to the Wii library due to their similarity in terms of controls, which allows them to address the issue of a launch library.

I still think it's a horrible idea for both if they're going to release it as add ons for the current gen's consoles.

I mean lets say that the controls are fantastic for both, devs are making really good games, etc. But if they make games exclusive to motion controls, you literally have 2 different libraries for the same game >.

I object to your comment about the Sixaxis being tacked on and a miserable fail. Go play Tools of Destruction and Flower before saying such ridiculous things

I meant tacked on as in they weren't the main/major control scheme.

So using the Sixaxis, but having the option to just press a freakin button.

wow don't insult Sony and Microsoft's motion controller.

I don't see why this is an issue. Anyone who has made a Wii game with good controls can a make PS3 control the same as the libraries are similar. By now most companies have "strategies" as far as motion control go. PS3 will be recieving 4th or 5th generation motion games by the time they come to market. There will be some crap but nothing like Wii 3rd party year one.

Natal... I dunno. I'm waiting to see more.

"Not the motion controllers themselves (or lack of, in NATAL), but the fact that if both of these companies release this huge addition to their console, they risk following the same footsteps of other console makers who tried to update their consoles with an add on?"

Nintendo has done quite well with releasing add ons to their machine... They were the last if i'm not mistaken.
