Forums - Gaming - Fallout 3 Is Doing My Head In.(No Spoilers involved).

I mean I have it a week now and just seem to be getting nowhere.

Yet I just cant put it down.

I keep heading off somwhere unknowen to myself.

Spend hours there and then I eventually go back to where I should be.

I have to admit RPG games are not my thing usually.

tried a few but just could not get into them.

Yet something about this game keeps me wanting to play it.

It is hard and frustrating but quite addictive.

So I was wondering has anyone felt the same about it.

Also if I were to get into it (which I am) would other RPG games open up to me.

I am a shooter man myself so this is new to me.

I would be interested to hear views from more experienced RPG fans.

Either way this is a special game IMHO.

Yeah Fallout 3 is great when you get into it. If you like Fallout i recommend you checking out Borderlands.

I too was a shooter man but thoroughly enjoyed Fallout 3. I have not felt the need to investigate others although I have downloaded some of the expansions for Fallout 3.

I found once I got the teleport thing on the map sorted I was much better at getting myself from A to B.

its a WRPG. WRPGs are all about exploration and discovery.
you probably first played JRPGs right? those are limited to the exploration part but are more character based. (im not going to say story driven cause both got good stories, it just a matter of taste.)

Did you find it long to get your head around it.

I have put about 10 hours into it and still feel I am only crawling.

But so addictive.

Actually, if he likes Fallout 3, he should get Fallout 1&2 because they're hundred times better than the average Fallout 3.

10 hours is nothing to RPGs , they may take 60 + hours to complete them with fast runs (IE compeleting the main missions as fast as possible)

Not so. The games are not that easy to compare.

I like the original Fallout more than 3, but they're very different experiences.
