Forums - Gaming - So when does Final Fantasy X pick up a little bit?

the game picks up after you reach zanarkand in my opinion. I'd rather have good gameplay over a cliche story like ToS.

But that's after 30 hours of the game....

I'm not sure what you mean.

Tales of Symphonia has a very cliche story and gameplay such that one character is nearly capable of beating the game on his own with one move.

If it hasn't already been answered, the game does pick up after a while.

Essentially, there's a point in the game where you'll feel like you're not just being strung from place to place, and that's where it gets better.

i think is going to get better when you get to kilika island.

Well, I got past the first Sin fight.

Game definitely goes for the big, cinematic fights, don't it?

After that boring blitzball tournament.... I so HATE blitzball.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I wouldn't say "hilarious".

I was mostly thinking "Dammit why can only two characters hit this giant fin thingy, is the ship going to sink if I take too long, oh I guess not"

It has been a long time since I've played it, but if I remember right, I thought it picked up once you got the whole party together. I also really enjoyed the game once I got to play Blitzball.

Oh, and before you get too exited about the Sphere Grid, I thought that it moved antagonizingly slow for my taste.
