Forums - Microsoft - The Xbox 360's RPG line-up really does own.

the first ninety-nine nights sucked and the second one will probably follow the same line.

Well setting aside that N3 is not an RPG. If you spent more time researching the topics you post about instead of trolling you'd know that Feel Plus is developing Ninety Nine Nights 2 and not Phantagram/Q Entertainment. Feel Plus is MS' Japanese development team. They coded Lost Odyssey for Mistwalker BTW.

I have great hopes for Risen. It's Piranha Bytes game, in their previous Gothic series style. Completely unknown among Americans, Gothic series are considered pure classics in Germany and Poland (probably also smaller neighbouring countries).

360 will probably win this generation as far as RPG games are concerned, but it is still far far behind the SNES, PS1, PS2, and DS (if you count hand helds)

THIS, well said.

Actually the PS3 will have easily surpassed the 360 in the JRPG catergory by mid 2010. Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, Demon Souls already match the 360's JRPG line up in the west. Add to that, The Last Rebellion, White Knight Chronicles, Trinity Universe and Tales of Vesperia and the 360 is left in the dust. The only notable 360 JRPG exclusive will be LO.

360 is best for the WRPG fans (ignoring PC).

yes WILL WILL we understand that not all 360 fans are shit for brains but if I wanted to go out and play a f%@#ing JRPG NOW than how is it not true that Xbox 360 owns as of now? This isn't all directed at you Tombi but at all the people here in general that have this insane idea that  TO BE RELEASED GAMES are ALREADY RELEASED. Is it really that painful to fans to just suck it up and say yes FOR TODAY and TOMMOROW until ToV, WKC, ect are released that Xbox 360 owns the RPG lineup? Is it not true either?

Whoa... Chill... and no its not true not one bit, PSP and DS have the best JRPG line-up overall so thats why it wasn't mentioned.

Theres no way in hell i'd go to my 360 for all my RPG gaming, its all on DS and PSP dood.

But when it comes to consoles, yes 360 does have the most JRPG's right now everyone knows this so theres no reason to point it out when its so frickin obvious, but in the end the PS3 WILL have more JRPG's in general, theres no deny'n that now even more so with all this PS3-Slim ownz japan thing going on.

So in conclusion at this very moment X360 > PS3 in JRPG's... and all RPG's in general, ... but... in the future... near for that matter... PS3 > 360 in JRPG's all kinds, as well as ONLINE MMO's, but X360 > PS3 still yet in the overall.

Bah, tbh, I could care less who has the most JRPGs when it's all said and done. WRPGs have kicked the crap out of JRPGs on consoles this gen imo, and the 360 has the best ones hands down.

If you're strictly talking about North America, then you're right.  However, games like WKC and Demon Souls have already been released (ToV comes out next week) in Japan.  And a bunch of us here have already played the imports.  So I don't think it's totally unfair to include WKC and Demon Souls for those of us who have already played the game.

Was the first one even an RPG?  I remember playing it when I first got my 360 and it just seemed like a bad action brawler type game.

NNN 2 is no way a RPG. Not sure why it's up there.

Star Wars: The Old Republic was not announced for 360, it's PC only and should be removed from the OP.
