Rewatching the videos, GT5 has better shadow effects from the looks of it, and more detailed stuff in the background. The cockpit of the cars look alot more cartoony, and from the view it looks slower, but that might be because its an outside view whereas Forza was a cockpit view. As far as the actual racing goes though, they seem perfectly identical...



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

what do you mean nojustno? The video looks nothing like the screenshots. It looks like a completely different game. GT5 has significantly better lighting, textures, models, shadows, surprisingly better anti-aliasing(look at the trees in the F3 video, they are very jaggy).

These games are not even on the same level in terms of graphics, it's a complete landslide.
Game play however, we have no idea! So let's wait and see. I have both pre-ordered and I can't wait.

It's almost like Turn 10 only concentrated on making beautiful car models but dropped the ball when it comes to creating realistic environments for Forza 3. :/

I agree Slimebeast, again, not negative things towards the developer it's just an observation of the video. We all know graphics are not everything just like damage is not everything and only the complete package can say anything about the game in the end.

I don't think so. I mean it's gran turismo. But if it did happen, what an upset that would be.
Gran turismo has been in development for about 10 years now (lol), and poly polishes their games until it blinds you. What we have to see though is if they make it so realistic it won't be fun to play. Forza is a sim, but in the past their games have drawn a perfect line between arcade and realism.

hahaha that's ridiculous, the ONLY (barely) noticible difference seems to be the lighting. And I'm pretty sure the vid in OP is an old build.
