Now that we've all seen in-game footage and most features of both games have been revealed including car damage, do you think Forza 3 can threaten GT5 on the overall review score on Metacritic/Gamerankings?

it might because of GT5's half assed damage....
but content wise - GT5 > Forza 3

I don't know about this damage thing.  Both kind of looked like bumper cars to me in the videos.

Gt5 have better . graphics. audio, gameplay.

Probably not, GT5 is the king of racers.  I mean, that is like stating that MW2 will outscore Halo ODST.., it just wont happen.

I'm not sure why Turn 10 chose a cartoony look for Forza 3, kinda like Uncharted style graphics.

They both look like 9.0 to 10.0 games so it's going to matter little which one comes out on top(especially since they aren't competing with each other). It's probably going to be GT5 though, if it deserves that or not I can't say (yet) but many reviewers probably grew up with GT1 and will look past any possible flaws to give it that 10/10 rating they feel it deserves.

To the OP, it could happen, but with the fanboys in the reviewing industry, it's a crapshoot.

They didn't with GT4 or prologue, or in previews of the crappy damage models.

Again, it's a crapshoot. If the game lacks, it will be made known, that goes for both games.
