As much as I love DS, I don't think Monster Hunter would work on it.

I think it might, but the complaints over graphics being reduced (I'm assuming the scale of this game is larger than the PS2 and PSP versions) will be unbearable.

The game looks almost the same as the PS2 rev so that wouldn't be a problem. However, I suspect this announcement has got nothing to do with it, and is actually NA/EU release date for MH3.

Check out the latest blog post over at Capcom's Unity blog...  Just a note to say that we (and our European-flavored friends) have a "Monster" surprise coming for Monster Hunter fans. Yes, I would say it's bigger than the Ragiakurusu. So when is it coming? Monday! Could be Monster Hunter 3 related, so we'll have to keep an eye on the Unity blog this coming Monday! ---Release date, confirmation of no pay to pay online? |

Announcing a MH3 port now would kill the legs of the wii game. There will be a port to the psp, but it will be announced later.
