Uncharted and gears only share a cover system. And Uncharted and socom are NOTHING alike. 3rd person and the similarities end. Uncharted is a very unique experience just like gears. Personally I have had more enjoyment from gears online but that's because I played it longer than Uncharted. 

@psych7111: Yes, he's right. Your whole post is a contradiction. How can you say for sure that only Sony fanboys try to justify their purchase while others play online? There's something called Microsoft fanboys. And Nintendo fanboys. And they're not angels, either. The rest of your argument is outdated, and has no place in 2009. You're still stuck in 2008, apparently.

@uberkiffer: Have you seen how many times the beta of Uncharted 2 has been played? Have you seen the release date of Uncharted 2? I suggest you do so before making such comments.

i'd have to play it. if it's as good or better than gow 2, i might very well buy a ps3. i bought a 360 because of my extreme love for gears of war, so maybe u2 could get me to buy a ps3

ive played alot more uncharted 2 online compared to gears so i cant make a proper desision, but from what ive played i thought uncharted 2 multiplayer was better.

Firstly, I am going to ignore horde, which is awesome, because it is really in competition with co-op, which I haven't played much of

Anyway, so they are similar. They both use cover systems, and I would say it takes roughly the same amount of ammo to kill anyone {actually a little more in Gears}, but you will be crawling once knocked down.... Uncharted 2 just adds something extra with its climbing mechanics which makes the game far more enjoyable and add an extra dimension to the game. The main reason that I dislike GeoW 2 MP is the fact that it mostly just devolves into a gnasher shotgun/chainsaw fight, which is just a pain. So yes, Uncharted 2 is far more enjoyable because it just offers more, and when GeoW 2 first came out, it suffered from major major lag issues (and the fact that I rule at Uncharted 2 does help a bit)
