worse case scenario for Japan is 100K? That would be very very impressive jump from 2000.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

The ps3 had a huge boost in hardware in the U.S outselling the wii and 360, but this is just a couple of days data for the slim which was not available everywhere.. we should see yet another boost for this week..

As for Japan, if it hits 100k that would mean best sales for the ps3 ever in japan, and who knows it might hit 100k in OTHERS as well..

Wii behind both HD consoles for the first time in Americas I think.
Nice for X360, PS3 and DS. PSP OK, Wii not so hot, at least compared to last year.

% increase next week for PS3 on Japan should be a record. Even 50k would mean a 3000% increase, if my math isn't failing.
