Forums - Sony - All PS3 Bundles by the end of 2009

Meh, I guess I'm mostly thinking in relation to the US. The US does not have like 50 different bundles a year like Europe does I mean every day I see a new European bundle for the PS3 or 360 with a different game or accessory.

Yeah, Think of US bundles in a EU bundle thread. Makes a lot of sense

lol @ montanna and teds

Lol, classic JEDE3.  Gets proven wrong and replies in a mocking little remark.

LOL @ U

Nowhere have I been proven wrong. Now go away.

Montana compares Wii Sports to other bundled games... LOL that was a joke. It had to of been. And Teds says 500k is a lot... well good. Considering its 250k and split between multiple titles its not alot. Now sit down you stalker

These are rumored amounts, and on top of that, they are for just one region.  Most bundled games do sell quite a bit (and likely more than 500k), and 500k out of a 2 million total LTD selling game is 25% of the sales, which is a lot.  Motorstorm for example, was bundled for like the entire first year in the US which had to have accounted for the majority of sales.  Same with Lego Indiana Jones on the 360, selling with all bundles during the holidays and some still are around.

I'm sorry, I just find your lack of reasoning disturbing.

Read the first post. I understand they are rumored but for the bundles we do know the numbers for (Yakuza 3) It was only 10k. So 25k in all of europe and 10 k in japan. and less than the European counter part in NA for most of them. GT5 and PES for example. I would be surprised if they even came out with an NA bundle for these games. That's why I said less than 500k and not 250k. I already took that into considerating. Now go away you silly stalker Where is your proof that most bundled games sell over 500k? I call bullshit. You are pulling numbers from your ass. And 500k between 5 games which most of them will pass 2million and one will pass 5 million... yeah... thats like 5% barely anything

You are comparing very limited bundles with long lasting ones.  Most "bundles" are not your super limited supply of 10-25k.  Bundles like the Resident Evil 360 one are very limited and mostly just for hype.  Bundles like Motorstorm, Wii Sports, Lego Indiana Jones, Forza 2, Kung Fu Panda, Uncharted, etc. are long term bundles which very easily could account for 500k or more of worldwide sales.

And there are a whole lot more than the ones you listed. GT5:P. PES. HS. KZ2. R&C. LBP. GTA4. HSG. DMC4. Plus many more and these are just Ps3 bundles. most bundles are limited. Just because Motorstorm and Resistance was long term bundle doesn't make every bundle that way. And I doubt uncharted was bundled with 500k. It's been bundled in the very expensive 160gig in the USA Ps3's worst region. And before that it was an optional bundle with 5 other games for a short time.

The PS3 bundles for Motorstorm, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Uncharted are really the only ones that I honestly think should count even. The Motorstorm/Resistance bundle was exclusive to 1 retailer (Target). Just like the MGS/Killzone 2 bundle was exclusive to best buy and the Final Fantasy: Advent Children Complete bundle was exclusive to Gamestop. I'm not sure about Worldwide, but that's how the bundles worked in the U.S. at least...

Wasn't thae "starter pack" bundle (Resistance an Motorstorm) across europe?

Ugh, US bundles are the big ones that drive a lot of sales for those games, which is why I was arguing that.  You stated bundles have no affect at all based on the limited info of this thread.  I was trying to show you that worldwide it is a different picture, especially in the US.  There are lots of bundles that sell a large portion (bundles in US mostly it seems, but still that adds a lot to the worldwide totals).

Gran Turismo bundle will be nice, same with Uncharted 2 bundle

Yes, US are the big ones... so why does HS, R&C, GT5P, Infamous, ect ect get the "It was bundled" treatment?

Beats me, I never comment on those games' sales.  The only arguments I've ever had over bundling was for motorstorm, Wii Sports, Forza 2, and slightly MGS4 bundles.

EXCELLENT

whenever someone says "XXX PS3 exclusive did well due to T3H BUNDLEZ", we can prove the wrong!

also GT5 OUT THIS YEAR WHOOP WHOOP!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Ill possibly get Slim + GT5 @ €339 then. Unless we in Sweden get ripped off again by €50 extra cost.
