i pre order all the big releases. Halo 3, ODST, Halo Wars, Gears of War, mass effect 2 and the like. Usually theres little freebees when u preorder and the midnight launch parties are fun

I do for games I know I'll buy at full price. I always preorder through the VGChartz Amazon store for the free shipping and price match guarantee. It saved me $10 on Punch-Out!! when they dropped the price for 1 day right before the game actually launched. I wouldn't have known about the sale if it wasn't for the pre-order.
