Why don't we change the tone a little? Assuming the existence of heaven and hell, would the following people go to heaven or hell?

1) A devout Christian, a Reverend, who obviously attends church every Sunday, went to Sunday school every Sunday as a child without objecting. He had read the Bible numerous times, and watches that weird Christian Channel on TV. However, he is also a mass murderer and has killed hundreds of people.

2) An Atheist who has never been to church in his life, dismisses the Bible as the rantings of a lunatic, doesn't give anything up for Lent or go carolling on Christmas, but he is also a doctor, and has saved thousands of lives.

3) A devout Muslim who has prayed five times a day, and is a doctor and has saved thousands of lives.

4) A Muslim terrorist, also very devout, who had been brainwashed by Al-Qaeda, and drove the plane into the World Trade Centre.

5) An average Christian who went to Church, had read through the Bible but didn't really listen to it, who hadn't killed or saved any lives, he was a banker, but was a caring father, a loving husband, and an obedient son.

6) Number 5, but he's an atheist.

Only God can really be the final say.  According to the Christian Bible, so long as you accept him as your savior and repent of your sins you will be granted everlasting life after death.  So assuming the Christians were saved, I don't know how God would look at their other sins, but so long as they repented and were genuinely sorry, I think they'd make it.  All others would not unless the Muslim god is real.

I wouldn't want to be part of a religion where belief in God can make a murderer better than a doctor, so I hope you're wrong.

if a doctor isn't accepting jesus's gift of salvation, then he can't be saved no matter how much God wants him to be saved. it has nothing to do with being a murderer or a doctor.

Who goes to heaven?

Depends on which God. If it is Zues they're all going to hades, only the gods are allowed in heaven.

If it was the standard interpretation of the God of Abraham, 1 and 5, and possinbly 4 and 5 would get in.

If it's the Yezidi God Melek Ta'us, 2 and 6 are getting reincarnated, 1, 3, 4, and 5 are in hell.

So much difference from God to God. If I was God...

1) He would be given a choice, he could go to hell until he suffered the same amount as the people he murdered and their families, then he would be reincarnated for a fresh start knowing in his soul what would happen if he was a murderer again, or he could distribute the bad karma into his future incarnations and suffer greatly in life, though still getting to experience some pleasure within each incarnation.

2) Assuming he's a total atheist and doesn't believe in an afterlife, and he rejected the spiritual messages in life... Reincarnation and total cleansing of the soul from past memories to start a fresh existance so that he may choose a more spiritual life path.

3) I'd give him his 72 virgins in heaven.

4) I'd cleanse the soul from the past memories of brainwashing for a fresh start through reincarnation. You can't blame a hammer for killing someone, you can only blame the person swinging it. He was a tool and he would receive the mercy of the Lord.

5) He gets into heaven or reincarnated into a good life if he wants .

6) He gets reincarnated into a good life.

Jesus never said you have to accept the gift of salvation to get eternal life(be saved/go to heaven).

Luke 10:25-28

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "
How do you read it?"

He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself."

"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."

Jesus said you have to love God and love your neighbor as yourself to inherit eternal life.

1 John 4:8 (New International Version)

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

It also says God is love in the above verse. So, an atheist can get into heaven if they love love(because God is love) and love their neighbor as themself. You could say 2, 3, 5, and 6 get in.
