Forums - Gaming - Square Enix "Exploring" Non-Story Based DLC For Final Fantasy XIII.

Also, the sidequests are pretty much only if you want to know what the other characters were doing during the main quest with Ceodore.

The only real point to them is whether or not you want them available as party members in the final portion of the quest. They are entirely optional.

S-E tries to be slick and add bonus dungeons for you to explore after each DLC so you can find new weapons and armors, but once you start the later chapters those items end up being nothing but a waste of time because they suck bad compared to what you get later on. So you can also waste 1+ hours in those dungeons if you want.

Another thing that makes it seem long is that random encounters are incredibly frequent in this game.

Booooo!

Thanks for the warning. I'll probably just get a summary of the plot points from somewhere, then.

DLC for Cloud and Sephiroth as secret playable character and secret enemy. It will sells millions.

FF XIII = Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within ?

First lack of Limit breaks and now this, bring on the "good news" Square-enix.

Looking @ everyone's post so far, i think that this DLC will be for the 360. Think about it, i single layer BD-Rom is 25gb and 3 dual layer DVD-ROMs are about 24gb. It would make sense to make the rest of that 1gb or so data and make it available to 360 owners as well. But, if the game was originally a dual layer BD-ROM, then I have no idea.

Looking @ this makes me feel old...PROUD owner of NES, SNES, GENESIS, TurboGrafx 16 (PCE), N64, PSOne, PS2, Dreamcast, Xbox360, and PC.

DLC must be something the Devil came up with.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I have a bad feeling about this especially on the PS3 side.

For just $2 more you can get the Ultimate Weapon of Ultimate Destiny.

Considering you needed a guide to find out how to get the ultimate weapon in FFXII I wouldn't be surprised if you had to pay for DLC to get ultimate equipment in FFXIII.

As long as there is the same amount of sidequests and extras as in previous FF's included on the disc then this is ok with me.

Horrible Idea! Horrible. This is why I tend to hate DLC!
