Forums - Sales - Killzone 2 SALES are Very Disappointing (Just Realized)

im a bit dissapointed in the sales but they should have done some good adverts ....i still think mad world ad is the best iv ever seen

"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"

"England expects that everyman will do his duty"

"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

PS3= not the shooter fan console. It's that simple. Mostly everyone I know who plays FPS's competitively will go for halo, a CoD game, or GoW.

"shrugs" not a knock to the system. Killzone 2 did well enough to prompt a KZ 3, I assure you.

not true...a proper Socom by Zipper would do better than any other first party fps/tps Sony has made so far

You know why its sales sucked a big reason was because here in the us there advertising was almost non exsistant.

1. It'll have legs. I could see it selling 10k units per week till Killzone 3 comes out

2. Userbase will get bigger now with the slim/price drop so more people to buy the game

3. It did well considering how bad the first game was. Like if you played some shit game and then heard about a sequel for it would you buy the sequel? I highly doubt it. So pretty good sales for a sequel to a bad game.

I think most 1st Sony games have had disappointing sales. Resistance, Uncharted, and Motorstorm sales probably consist of a lot of bundling. The sequels for Resistance and Motorstorm have even lower sales.

Many Microsoft games haven't been great successes either. But clearly Sony is pumping tons of money into their software with only modest sales to show for it.

Clearly PS3 is not enjoyed by shooting fans. I mean only about 10 of the top 50 sellers are shooters. And its more than 10 if you want to include adventure games that use guns like Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Tomb Raider, Grand Theft Auto, etc.

The 360 has a larger user base so it sells more games of almost every genre.

^ Resident Evil sold more on PS3

Resident Evil is not a genre. Its one of few games that sold better on the PS3.
