I'd kind of forgotten about this Wii exclusive, Resident evil outing myself. After it's original announcement, there'd been no news whatsoever. Well according to Gameworld News, it's still kicking. "Capcom has confirmed that the Wii-exclusive horror outing, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, is still scheduled to be released for this year. Reports come following the announcement of Project Treasure Island Z, where the company told Wired’s blog game|life the title is “still on track for 2007 release". Umbrella Chronicles, which is scheduled to ship exclusively for Nintendo’s Wii console, was first announced at E3 last year. Since that time, almost nothing has come out of Capcom HQ regarding the new zombie romp, although it is believed the game will follow a series of events based around the first game up till and including Resident Evil 4. Players are allegedly able to play as two characters per scenario, such as S.T.A.R.S operatives Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine for the infamous “mansion†scenario from the first game. Similar to Resident Evil 4, the game will play in an over-the-shoulder perspective, allowing gamers to use the Wii-remote to aim and shoot their weapons with. As soon as any more details come shambling our way like a rotten corpse, we’ll be sure to take all necessary precautions and let you know. Mar 20, 2007 " We really need to start mentioning this game next time we talk about Adult Wii games, Third party Wii games, and surefire hit Wii games.
