Wow...Give us a release date already :D
| TheThunder said: About the last bit. That's what I don't understand about the internet you have people claim the Naughty Dog are gods and the best dev in terms of technical terms when there game is only 720p 30FPS while developers like Polyphony Digital and Santa Monica doing 1080p 60FPS games (55% more the resolution and double the frame rate). |
Watch, release date is going to be 11.17.09. Or at least, I hope.
Before Black Friday will = Huge Sales in America.
I'll say it now so you guys can quote and laugh on release but thats bullshit. This game will not render natively at 1920x1080 60fps (full 1080p).

They are racing games. The environments and influence of the player are incredibly limited and controlled compared to a game like Uncharted or whatever.
Plus look at the development time frame for Uncharted 2, then look at how much longer GT5 is taking. |
Pretty much this. A game like Uncharted requires far more effects, larger, more detailed and open areas than a racing game. Also, the actions of the player and the repercussions are far more unpredictable in a shooting game, so there would likely be more physics calculations to carry out at any single moment in time. I mean, they probably had to drop it to 30fps just for Nathan Drake's real-time cloth physics
.
doesnt matter when its released bcus it will sell huge neways!

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM
