every annoucment for this game makes it worse and worse. First it went multiplatform then this.

Has to be one hell of a good MMO for me to pick it up then. Also, if White Knight and Demon's Souls take care of me, it might not matter. If it's decent I'll get it but not right away...

oh i was expecting it alright. But i had small glimmer of hope that it would be free. Bah i should have known better SE is all about the money nowadays. So yea i 100% wont be gettin this. the old Republic MMO will be the must buy MMO next and even if this game does well at the start, the release of Old Republic will crush it just like WOW crushed FFXI

I am too lazy to look up the actual numbers, but you do know that FFXI still has a TON of monthly subscribers (all paying 13(?)USD a month +1 dollar for every mule or additional character), right? And it has been around for 6 years now. And it has milked it's customer base numerous times with expansion packs.

Your average FF game makes a pile of money out of the gate, but 3 years later the cheques ain't comin in. I GUARANTEE you that if you look at the profits SE has made off FFXI, they simply dwarf any other FF game by comparison.

Subscriptions keep kids from ruining games.

seriously though im shocked so many of you thought it would be a free to play MMO.

I may still buy it. Since they no longer user PlayOnline, we might see some private servers just like WoW.
