Forums - Sony - PS3 is as bad as 360 RROD, 2 repairs, £200 and died again.

If you ever get a new PS3 make sure you vacuum the dust out every three months. It can decrease the chances of it braking on you. I still have my 60 gig PS3 and it makes little to no sound at all.

do you use a special vaccum cleaner or eject button?

I use a car vacuum because of its low power.

GamerTag/PSN ID JoshmyersBV (please add me I have 2 friends on Xbox Live)

No console is completely fail-proof, but three times? That's statistically improbable, because the failure rate is apparently under one percent. What do you do, keep it in a full bathtub? Microwave it before playing?

I read psrock's comment, and decided to take a look at your post history.

Whatever. Since "the PS3 is shit" and "the 360 is better", why do you bother repairing it? Just throw it away and play your 360. If you have anything to throw away.

EDIT: To drive the point home, http://vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=1524253 . Don't bother, everyone.

Thanks for that. Flamebait thread after all.

LOL no, not as bad as RROD, no where near.

But I do feel for ya, and if it's out of warranty, just don't bother with refurbs, get your self a new one, you'll end up being better off.

I've already said to my self, if my PS3 breaks, I'll get a new one, that's not to say I don't care, because I do, in fact I want my PS3 to at least last 3 years if not more, but in the event that if fails...yeah I've already made a contingency plan. XD

This poster has a history of anti PS3 comments, not saying that this isn't true but viewing previous posts i can say im shocked he even bought a PS3.

I would not pay for a console to be repaired. Within a year or two the cost of the repair would be more expensive than buying a new console system.

I feel for you... Truly sad that you had almost the same misfortune as I had with my 360. :(
