Think about sports games like FIFA, NHL or any other EA-sports game. They just update player-rosters add one new gimmick and it's all set for the next year.

Then there is Koei with Dynasty Warriors-franchise which keeps releasing basically the same game over and over again.

there's nothing wrong with milking as long as the quality is better on the next game.

MGS is a 22 years old series, while halo series started in 2001 i think. 7 games in 8 years against no more than 10 mgs (you're counting the greatest hits editions) in 22 years.

What the hell is the point of this thread?
To say the the Metal Gear franchise is milked and Halo isn't?
Does it matter? Both are awesome franchises, and if I could pick two I'd want to be milked, it would be those.
