Mario has over 100 games. -_-
Think about sports games like FIFA, NHL or any other EA-sports game. They just update player-rosters add one new gimmick and it's all set for the next year.
Then there is Koei with Dynasty Warriors-franchise which keeps releasing basically the same game over and over again.
there's nothing wrong with milking as long as the quality is better on the next game.
