i just want my multiplayer online free. and i got it =).

XBL Gold is optional and a lot chose never to pay for it it just seems like some people here act like you HAVE to pay for it. Personally qore is a bigger rip-off as demos should be free.

WoW is a different game to Guild Wars etc (Is that one of the free ones?). Therefore they are charging you to play there game. It's not as if you can play WoW for free somewhere else. In Live I pay to play a game online that I can play for free somewhere else.

So if your choice is removed it's ok? I'm not hung up on Sony or Ninty but you keep talking about competitors and thats them so I use them as an example.

You could play Wow offline if they wanted to but they chose to make the whole game online and charge half the price of a normal game each month.

When you look at it that way it's a rip off but people chose to pay and that system doesn't get knocked.

XBL is different to PSN therefore they are charging you to use their system. It's not like I can get XBL anywhere else. In live you pay to play games that you can't play for free anywhere else.

You accept there are alternatives to Wow that you could play but don't want to as Wow is what you want. I'm using that as an example for XBL. People chose to pay and don't want the alternative why is that wrong?

People are saying it's a rip off with out using it yet are willing to pay for things that are rip offs on their console. Bit of a double standard. Also those who don't own a 360 feel qualified to comment are acting like their opinion is fact and are righteous over those who do pay and use the system and have no problem with it. I thought it was supposed to be only the Sony forums that got hijacked here? That's what I've been told.

And a monthly fee isn't optional to just play the game if it's an MMO. your point?
Gold is optional. Like with all things optional if it's a service if you want that service you make a decision to pay for it. This isn't anything new.

If you want to play multiplayer and willing to pay then whats the issue? People are aware of the alternatives yet still chose this so what does that say?

lags depends on various things, lbp had small lag when joining a game, but it disappear after u success ful joined now with the patches logging in it's smooth.

but games like resistance 2, had 60 players matches and run smooth.

then he doesn't take into account PSN services-

Vidzone, Home, PS Video Store, PlayTV, etc. (you certainly have a 1UP in terms of fanboy ammo when it comes to home. But xbox getting last FM offsets vidzone, and PS video store is not really a feature (and xbox has had it for alot longer, and netflix, mind you) PlayTV is only available in europe. It's pretty cool though, I might add.)

yes go pay for something all other consoles get for free and pcs have for i do not know how many years now and try to convice us that it is better from everything else just to convice yourself...

While I did say earlier its not worth $50/year, I'm still going to get it each year till the next Xbox rolls around or PS4. (only getting 1 system next gen guaranteed).

Vidzone its FREE video music streaming service.
Lastfm. streams radio like audio
and its available also on the ps3! using the browser.
same for twitter youtube and FULL Facebook and we even had hulu til they blocked the ps3 browser.
playtv its only available in europe because american crappy network.
DVB its being pushed that now even cellphones have a digital TV.

I will try to keep it as simple as possible. I wantto play COD4 . I choose this game as it is multiplatform and is supposed to be very good online. After buying the game for $60 on either PS3 or X360 or $50 on PC. I get the full game all features enabled and I play online. Why is it I have to pay extra to play it on the X360. I don't care about demos, movies or anything else. I just want to play the game I bought to its fullest.
Why is this free on the other platforms and not the X360.
If MS and Sony feel the need to sell me demos, previews insider access and all that crap I don't want I don't have to buy it. I only want to play COD4 so that is all I should have to pay for. It's that's simple, I want to play what I payed for. It is unfair that others can play online unlimited for the price of the game and I can't.
