Why does this suck?
I don't think I ever removed the battery in my PSP, and I even dropped it once and the battery flew out
It'd be better if you couldn't remove it like the Dualshock 3
My bro needed to replace battery for our PSP because he did something with that thing to read pirate games and the original battery kaput'd.
Maybe is to prevent that thing to be done on the Go.

You won;t be able to upgrade the battery to a more long-lasting one, or keep several batteries for long journeys, etc.
sony does it for 10$.
at least for the dualshock 3.
and i think includes the battery.
^What he said, I have two batteries for when I go on trips or one of my batteries isn't charged so i grab the other.
I guess it is to prevent the pandora's battery but who knows.
Let's be honest here, not everyone who removes batteries do so because they need to for long journies. You guys might, but looking at the wider public...
A battery might go bad or you might want to upgrade to a better longer lasting battery, all pros of having a removable battery.
