Forums - Nintendo - Remembering Super Mario Sunshine 08/26/02

I don't get why people like SMB3 so much. You can go backwards which defeated the challenge, the enemies like to respawn whenever you come back, and the ending was evil. You couldn't replay levels, Pipe World is eternally annoying, World 2 was a large spike in difficulty, the suits were basically useless, except for Racoon, the fortress maze in World 6 was almost impossible, Bowser's castle basically gave you an infinite amount of tries at it once you destroy the tank, the warp whistles were annoying, SMW executed all the warp ideas better, the concentration mini-game was stupid, you won once or twice in the entire game, and the ending was absolutely evil, Nintendo should be stabbed for that ending.

what a great game, i was playing this 3 days ago

Easily the 2nd best Mario game ever made.

And the best 3D Mario game. Mario Sunshine was an amazing game. People are just dumb and dislike it because it was on the gamecube. Let this had been a PS2 game or on any other market leading system.

Such a fun game! Delfino is such a cool place, and was used as a setting for lots of other cool games. The creatures are very funny, and the levels were very fun. The only thing I would like to forget is the commercial...

i like the piantas, they seem like so calm and relaxed. It was fun how you could get one of those hawaii (delfino shirts?) shirts and the shades. The Hub has to be the best hubworld ever made. i mean i could spend almost hours just swooshing by with the jet nozzle. Compared to peaches caslte this place felt real. people (well piantas) walking by shops where they "sold" fruit. they had law enforcers. fantastic place. not to mention the Piantas were pretty hilarious in Paper Mario: The Thousand year door.

what a horrible game, fludd = FAIL. The only reason i got the game was because it was bundled with my GC.

it was cool when i first got it, now i don't play it anymore

I regret making this my username, I made this name when I was 13 years old

Life could always get worse, you could be a mod for Neogaf

i love the fludd, it works great and with the different nozzles you can even expand on what you do. I like the Hover nozzle the most beuse it has so many uses that aren't situational. The Rocket nozzle is only for going high places, the jet nozzle for slamming into places and covering great distances in short time.

The Hover nozzle acts as an extension of mario. you jump and press R to hover and get places you otherwise wouldnt be able to go another move i like is,  when you run one side and quickly go the opposite and press jump at the same time mario does a huge flip in the air. combine that with a wall jump and finish with the hover nozzle and you can get quite high up in the air.

Its great for removing large masses of goop by hovering over them. A fantastic device.

Too bad I didn't like this game. It was good, but, just not Mario good.

I loved this game. Exploring each island locale was awesome. FLUDD was an interesting inclusion into Mario.
