(1) That's pretty much how MMOs currently work isn't it? I mean, you don't grind or fight boss monsters in past areas unless you get a quest that sends you all the way back there. Otherwise you get in the way of low-levels trying to gain XP/money/etc. The only difference this would do is further separate each area and let you know when to move on.

(2) A lightsaber takes 6 hits to kill something as opposed to... killing it in one hit? Do you know what an RPG is? Do you know how weapon balance works? Let's give the player a weapon that kills everything in one hit and see what happens. Huh, no one is playing any other classes or using any other weapons. Wow, everyone has finished the game already. How did this happen?

WAR is PVP centric, although there are some PVE instances. Now let me tell you that WAR was by far the best experience i ever had in an MMO. But it only lasted from lvl 0-27. SW MMO : Basicly a Kotor game but online. You can look at it like an evolution of LotRO. While waiting for this one you can easily play something else, b/c it don't gonna come out until late 2010 or even 2011.

Aion: Cannot understand what's so special or good about this one. I looked at the classes and they are all plain and generic, nothing i would pick.

FFXIV: So yeah .. it has FF in it's name and it is on console(s) but there rly are no features or information on this game. FFXI was meh so i would pass on this one.

My choise would be WAR.

Thanks! This is the kind of thing I was looking for :).

I played PVP for years, and after yelling at the screen a few hundred times due to greefing, I gave it up about 5 years ago. I know they have done a huge job at removing greefing, but after going carebear, I actually like it better. I play games to relax, and PVP is fun to jump into and out of, but not something I look forward to as an every day thing.

Plus, I am 40... when I was younger I was damn good at it. Now all the 16 year olds kick my ass. So, I will go LotR :)
