Easily Gears 2. Even in static images it's apparent, but MGS4 also has an inconsistent framerate. It's not locked in, so it bounces from 60 to 30ish quickly, and that takes away from production. There is no voting here, it's obvious.

I think the textures are better on Gears of War, but MGS4 just looks better overall.

MGS4 is a very very beautiful game but lacks some of the technological edge other games have.
Nut the models are amazing (not the animation).
On the other side I once again will support the opinion that the vast majority of gamers who didn't play Gears 2, think (or want to think) that gears 2 is just a graphical upgrade comparing to the first one.
Honestly, screenshots don' t do justice in Gears 2 case.
The lighting, the details, the smokes-dust, the scale. I still play some sequences (ie the Nexus) just to take a look of the beauty.
