That would be what we like to call... irrelevent.  Capcom already got paid for that 1 Million.

Do you not know how this works?

Yes, they did.  However, it's the other million they haven't sold that I'm talking about.  2 million - 1 million = 1 million.

Amazing.

Did you also figure out that the fiscal year isn't over yet?

well, even if the controller is in ready supply, I'm sure Capcom must be happy with the sales. 800k units in 4 weeks is pretty dang impressive. It is already the 10th best selling game in Japan on the Wii, and has done better than any PS3 or X360 game in Japan.

I'm not really sure where you get the idea that Capcom is happy with the numbers. The goal for MH3 set by Capcom is 2 mil units. Looking how it is droping in Japan and how MH games sell in the West it will have much trobule achiving that number. Capcom themself actually commented on MH3 sales in the following way:

Q.
Do you think “Monster Hunter Tri” will reach its domestic sales target in the second quarter?

A.
If all goes well, we believe that the initial shipment will sell out, but we can’t assume anything about subsequent repeat sales until we actually see the sell-through figures. We will continue to deliberate on the direction of our future shipments, taking into account the sell-through figures for August.

Althrough it doesn't say explicitly that they don't fell happy about MH3 sales its far from optimisitc imo (and companies avoid sounding pessimistic about their products for most of the time).

If hanafuda is trying so hard to make this game look bad it must mean that it will do fine.

I see, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of it being on the wii? o.0

Not at all.  Actually, the Classic Controller is only on Wii.  Also, the Classic Controller Pro is only on Wii.  Capcom may have but the game on Wii because that's where the vast majority of consoles users are this generation.  For example, maybe you noticed Draqon Quest is on DS.  That's because the vast majority of non-PC gamers in Japan this generation own and use DS.

I would agrue that it does. It removes the only advantages the Wii has on its compeition other than userbase.
