Forums - Nintendo - This is what happens when people buy shovelware.

so does it still count as shovelware if its good?

Then it's just a budget game.

Or maybe it is a shovelware game anyways. I don't think shovelware has to be bad games. To meet the standards in my view, It has to have a low budget, short developement time, small crew working on the game, getting shipped before being ready, just being one of more then a few sub par games being floaded by the publisher the same year,  be a bad game, have bad graphics, being very short game, bad voice acting, have a really bad camera, bad controls, having quality issues and irritating bugs. Or some of those things.

It's an odd day when IGN makes you lose all faith in them and redeems themselves simultaneously, between that idiotic article that asserted that Xbox makes more profit than Wii, and then their review of this

I've got to see this article.  Link?

It wouldn't have been that bad of an article otherwise...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Is this the on rails shooter where you're a fire fighter? I kind of liked the arcade version, if its the same game.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii fun fun fun. Wii owners must keep buying shitty games, in 4 years these guys will be able to produce something that will get in the 80s!!!! Think of it, that company has made 18 Wii games so far. Imagine is 10 companies released 18 good games each per year!!!!!! DomiWiition!!!

Why would u say Epicenter Studios make shovelware? Do u even know what other games they have made??

I doubt they are shovelware developers.

This is how it work sometimes. Developers get better. Being a parent I have purchased Disney PC games for 10 years. I can tell you the qaulity of developement is drasticly increasing year by year. On top of the that Disney Software bested Nintendo Online service. DGamer(Disney Gamer, obviously) actually uses a single DGamer ID where any DGamer online enabled game allows you to see and communicate with other online DGamers. Even on the DS. They have developed Pirates of the Caribean MMO.

So yeah. There you go. It's not surpsing that this company is building on old engines to get better and better games.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

:O are you being..... super serial???

Why does this surprise people, anyway? I mean, one of the most prominent names in shovelware on the NES was Square. The company was so notorious for poorly made games that they almost shut their doors in the late 80s and named what was to be their last game in recognition of this fact: Final Fantasy.

I'd be far more worried about the companies today that are NOT changing, to be honest. What's more disconcerting: a company noted for bad games putting out a good game, or a company noted for good games releasing what amounts to variations of the same game over and over again?

Ah gotcha. Ok so a firefighter FPS? Do you get to kill terrorists in the Twin Towers on 9/11 or something?
